FAQ (with answers)
1. What’s the minimum info needed for an accurate extraction tank quote?
Working volume, solvent system, solids per batch, temperature range, mixing objective, and whether reflux/flammable solvent safety scope applies.
2. Why do you ask for torque instead of only motor power?
Because low-speed mixing of viscous slurries is torque-limited. A “big kW” motor can still stall without the right gearbox torque.
3. If I don’t know my ethanol-water ratio yet, can suppliers still quote?
Yes, but the quote may be a range. Provide allowed ratios or constraints so suppliers can propose a safe, practical design.
4. Do I need CIP-ready design?
If you run multiple products, sticky extracts, or need quick changeovers, CIP-ready drainability and dead-leg control save downtime.
5. What causes most quote revisions and delays?
Missing safety scope (EX), unclear heating utility conditions, and insufficient mixing/solids data.
